The Syracuse Area Black Nurses Association (SABNA), Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization comprised of African-American professional nurses who network, inform, and support one another both professionally and personally. Our membership consists of newly planted and seasoned men and women with common goals to be of service to the Syracuse community. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us!

Our Mission

The goals of SABNA, Inc. are to:
  1. Fund scholarships for African-American nursing and high school students intending to pursue a career in our prestigious field. 
  2. Educate our community on health issues through health and wellness fairs at local schools and for other civic organizations.
  3. Support and provide networking opportunities to African-American Registered Professional Nurses in the Greater Syracuse Area.

Becoming a Member

Any African-American nursing students or licensed nurses can complete a membership form and submit yearly dues. You will receive all rights and privileges as a voting member of the organization immediately upon doing so.
